The GenAI Academy operates as a two-stage training and selection pathway.
- Application and selection into the GenAI Academy (Our AI training programme)
- Post-Academy selection into full-time employment as an AI Adoption Manager
Admission to the Academy does not automatically guarantee employment.
The Academy serves as both professional development and a performance-based hiring process.
Stage 1: Application to the GenAI Academy
Entry into First AI begins with a competitive application process to join the Academy. We assess:
- Academic capability
- Communication and presentation skills
- Commercial awareness
- Interest in AI and emerging technology
- Suitability for client-facing consulting roles
Successful candidates are offered a place on the 6-week GenAI Academy training programme.
The Academy is free to attend and designed to equip participants with highly marketable enterprise AI skills, regardless of final employment outcome.
Stage 2: Employment at First AI
Throughout the Academy, participants are assessed on:
Practical AI capability
Analytical problem-solving
Client communication
Commercial judgement
Professionalism under pressure
At the conclusion of the programme:
Participants who meet the required standard are offered full-time roles as AI Adoption Managers
All participants who complete the Academy receive a First AI Certificate of AI proficiency
This structure ensures that every AI Adoption Manager at First AI has demonstrated capability in a real delivery environment before joining client projects.
What You Will Learn
During the 6-week Academy, you will develop capability across three core areas:

Enterprise AI Capability
Practical implementation of Microsoft Copilot across business functions
Use case identification and value scoping
Prompt engineering and workflow optimisation
Foundations of agent building using Copilot Studio
2.
Business & Consulting Skills
Scoping AI opportunities within enterprise environments
Designing and delivering workshops
Executive communication and stakeholder management
Translating operational challenges into AI-enabled workflows
3.
Real-World Application
Deliver a live mini AI project
Work in teams to prototype AI-enabled solutions
Present your outcomes at Demo Day
