Building the Next Generation of AI Talent
The fifth cohort of the First AI GenAI Academy has officially begun, welcoming another group of talented individuals ready to build their careers at the forefront of enterprise AI.
Over the next six weeks, the cohort will take part in an intensive programme combining technical AI skills with the practical business, consulting and people skills required to make AI work inside real organisations.
But the Academy represents something bigger for First AI.
Creating careers in an AI-powered world
There is understandably a lot of discussion about what AI will mean for the future of work, particularly for graduates and those entering the workplace for the first time.
At First AI, we believe the next generation shouldn't simply be prepared for a world shaped by AI. They should have the opportunity to help shape it.
That's one of the reasons we created the GenAI Academy.
We invest in talented people at the beginning of their careers and give them the skills, practical experience and opportunities they need to develop into the AI professionals organisations increasingly need.
It's about creating new career pathways, developing future leaders and ensuring that people remain at the heart of AI transformation.
Learning how to make AI work
The Academy candidates will spend the next six weeks learning how AI is applied within organisations.
Their development will include:
Building practical Microsoft Copilot and enterprise AI expertise
Understanding how AI agents and automation can transform workflows
Working through real-world business challenges and use cases
Understanding the role of governance and responsible AI
Developing consulting, communication and stakeholder skills
Learning how people, processes and technology come together during AI transformation
The objective is to develop professionals who can bridge the gap between what AI technology can do and what organisations actually need it to do.
The people behind the AI
First AI is an AI consultancy that helps organisations make AI operational.
We combine AI strategy, technology and hands-on delivery to help clients move beyond experimentation and embed AI into the way work actually gets done.
And what makes our model different is our people.
Following the Academy, our AI professionals can work directly alongside client teams, getting under the skin of their organisation, understanding their people, culture, systems, workflows and pain points.
Because successful AI transformation doesn't happen simply by deploying technology.
It happens when people understand where AI can create value and have the capability to make that change happen.
Investing in what comes next
As AI continues to transform the workplace, the skills organisations need will continue to evolve too.
That's why we'll continue investing in talent, creating opportunities and developing people who can combine AI expertise with the human skills needed to deliver real organisational change.
Cohort 5 is the latest chapter in that journey.
The people behind the AI. We make it happen.
